Hi there! My name is Kaitlyn Rouhier. I'm an Oregon native that has always had a fond love of books, stories, and tea. I still live in Southern Oregon with a wonderful boyfriend and a crazy pup named Gizmo that goes out of his way to distract me from peace and relaxation. (Note to self: Don't get a border collie mix ever again.)

I had written many short stories and snippets of book ideas by the time I approached writing my first book, The Bonded. It took ten years to write that first book, starting and stopping and starting and stopping again before I learned how to finally get the words down and how to quit hitting backspace with such fervor.

That first book, and the two that followed, I wrote for myself, never expecting more than a few friends and some of my family to read it, but it found a small but mighty audience and I appreciate every single review that has been written for that tale.

After wrapping up my trilogy, I quickly dove into a new story, Of Blood and Briar, which approached a more grimdark side to fantasy that I had long been wanting to explore. As of now, I have at least two more books planned that will be set in that world and I'm very excited to see where Calder's story takes him and how it all ends.

I've been on a bit of a hiatus from the world of writing while I've been learning how to code in the few hours I have each night (hence this fancy website!), but I am very eager to get back to writing and get more stories out into the world.
